Janella
Price always loved to draw. Her preferred subject matter was horses
and maybe a person now and then. In 1995 she ventured into oils. Her
first portrait didn't come for a few years, but once she started,
she has been commissioned to do family portraits and all kinds of
pets. Janella also paints landscapes and enjoys reflecting the beauty
in nature. "A gnarly old tree calls out from its soul. And windows
often reflect the character of a building but people reflect their
heart through the windows of their eyes." That heart is what she strives
to capture when she paints. By day Janella works in the accounting
field, but every chance she gets, she paints. Home is five acres in
Woodford County, which she shares with her two horses, two dogs and
two cats. Her surroundings serve as inspiration for many of her paintings.
